Sight-Read It for Strings

Here is a terrific resource for string students who already have the skills to read music using the fundamental notes and rests, and are ready to go to the next level of reading ability.  A comprehensive, supplemental resource for classroom or studio in a unique format, Sight-Read It for Strings will develop consistent reading habits and improve sight-reading for violin, viola, cello, and bass students.  Using a non-sequential unit format, materials are flexible and can be individualized.  Each unit includes assessments tools, with a pre-test, unison exercises, a post-test, and a three-part ensemble to “put it all together”.  The “mix-n-match” ensembles provide even more sight-reading practice for string orchestras or chamber ensembles, and even may be performed in concert.
