    I love this collection! Lee was
    a superb cellist and composer lived around the time of Mendelssohn. The etudes are all in the neck position but offer opportunity to explore expressive shifts and understanding the various positions including extensions. The keys are clear so they help building a good foundation for solid intonation.
    Musically, they are rewarding and help build an understanding of bel canto style playing. They are real musical thoughts and not just repetitive patterns! These pieces are a good complement to the op 31 etudes. My own copy is 60 years old but still in good shape! Good quality paper! I bought more copies for my students!
