    Great everyday exercises by the master

    These are way ahead of their time. Instead of writing overly technical scales that take hours to practice, Ysaÿe’s scales offer a practical warmup for work on intonation, smooth shifting and string crossings. I find these more fun to play than Suzuki’s tonalizations. Recommended for advanced students playing Haydn, Mozart or Bach concertos and beyond
