The Bobelock 1047 half moon violin case is built with the same five layered plywood case construction found in our traditional oblong shape and covered with a durable black nylon canvas zippered cover and outside music pocket. The 1047 brings a new, lighter and trimmer case look.

I wish I’d treated myself (not to mention my violin) to this case years ago! I got the green velvet and it’s so gorgeous and luxe I wish I could fit in it. The violin is gently cradled and secure. The form factor is well thought out and surprisingly compact overall, with great touches like the strap to hold the shoulder rest in place below the neck and a roomy accessories compartment with a strap in the lid to hold string packets in place. The only cons are that as sold by SWS it doesn’t come with the humistat or a string tube. The latter is cheap and easy to add, I have a dampit, and the price at SWS is the best I’ve seen, so not really a big deal.
