This edition includes two cello parts – one with modern technical markings (fingerings, practical bowings, etc) and another, the “urtext”, with the composer’s markings alone.  Included in the urtext cello part are fingerings by cellist Robert Hausmann, who premiered the work with the composer at the piano, as well as additional fingerings from the cello part of the first published edition, presumed to be by either Hausmann or David Popper.
