The tone is warm. Definitely my go-to strings. I get a different string for the e string, typically a gold string to make the sound warmer!

I’d used Prim strings for years so that I could cross-tune for old-time music. But I wasn’t satisfied with the tone of my G string. As I began considering having a luthier work over my fiddle, a friend suggested Helicore strings she tried and loved, since I was no longer cross-tuning. I just tried a set, and they make my fiddle sound sweet and bright. A whole new sound. Like getting a new fiddle. Highly recommended.

My daughter broke her violin at home. Strings snapped, bridge broke off. Due to the coronavirus, all of the repair shops were closed. We ordered the string needed, plus extra in case she broke it. It came in the mail pretty fast! Her orchestra teacher explained how we could fix it at home and she was able to!
