Larsen Strings will now offer their E strings with a removable ball end. We have limited stock of the traditional loop E. Orders will be filled with the standard loop E until they are no longer available. After that the removable ball E will be used.

I echo what the other reviewers have said about the E string. This is my first time trying the medium tension E and it is really wonderful. No rattling, twangy sound; just smooth, rich resonance. I paired it with my Dominant G, D, A and it really made them sound so much nicer. It warmed up the entire set and brought out the resonance in them. My entire violin sounds louder and richer. I may just try the set to see how they sound!

The Larsen Tzigane E, Forte, is very strong and clear. It can take any amount of bow pressure without collapsing and the tone is very resonant.

If you want a powerful sound, but rich quality, this is a great string. No whistling or tinny sound
