Description

The new Perpetual Cadenza violin strings are characterized by their warm and very deep sound with a great wealth of colors and are noticeably easy to play. In addition, these strings inspire the player with their brilliant, clear, and powerful sound as well as with their optimal response without resistance. The left hand feel is very light and soft due to its lower string tension. Shifting positions and portamenti can be played with noticeably less finger pressure. The overtones are rich and enable a wide range of color nuances while allowing the violin to resonate very freely.

Similar to the Cadenza cello strings, these are lower tension and ideal for vintage instruments.

So far they are excellent. Very easy under the fingers yet able to shape the sound and evoke the right colors.

    The G string in this

    SHERRILL (verified owner)

The G string in this series works very well on my old violin, with a rich warm sound in all positions. Its moderately low tension avoids choking the timbre of the higher strings, and its projection matches that of the higher strings. After extensive experimentation with various brands, this is what I’m currently using on the G string.

    Love my Cadenza Strings

    Paul F. (verified owner)

I tried Evah Gold, Thomastik, and some othe high end names until I found the sound I was looking for with the Cadenza strings. It was a WOW factor with these on my 170 year old violin (a baby in violin life). It was like taking a mute off yet a warm tone, colorful and easy to play due to them being a lower tension string. It did take 2 – 3 weeks to settle in but the sound didn’t diminish. They will be my strings for a long long time.

    Excellent quality of sound

    Casey (verified owner)

These are my favorite strings I’ve found. What a rich and juicy tone! Somehow Pirastro figured out how to make a low tension string project well. They don’t last as long Thomastik strings but last far longer than the Pirazzi Golds in my experience.
