I play Old-Time/Bluegrass fiddle. I’ve tried many strings over the past year to experiment with my new fiddle. That list included Dominants, Jargars, Helicores, Red Label, and some others. Prims are by far the best sounding as they give a nice rich, warm tone on the G and D strings and the A and E provide warmth, but also brilliance. You won’t be disappointed! Helicores are a close second, but they were too loud and bright for my fiddle.
