The editions of Volumes 1-3 offered here are newly recorded International Editions featuring performances by Hilary Hahn. The editions of Volumes 4-6 are newly recorded International Editions featuring performances by Augustin Hadelich. The editions of Volumes 7-8 are International Editions featuring performances by William Preucil.
All Suzuki International Editions feature newly recorded CD’s, as well as very minor alterations to the written text of the Revised Editions. They are otherwise identical to, and fully compatible with, the Revised Editions.

The Suzuki Method is an internationally known music curriculum and teaching philosophy dating from the mid-20th century, created by Japanese violinist and pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998). The method aims to create an environment for learning music which parallels the linguistic environment of acquiring a native language. Dr. Suzuki believed that this environment would also help to foster good moral character (Source: Wikipedia.) I’ve normally had great experiences with SWstrings, however, this time it got pretty messed up(and still hasn’t resolved). First, I received a phone call to check and make sure the order I made was on purpose (multiple orders of the same product, but to different locations, kind and thoughtful of them to double check). After confirming it was on purpose, the order still got messed up and sent all to the same place. So I made a 3rd order to try to get it to my student while we are all kept apart…Haven’t received any sort of confirmation about that so it probably hasn’t even been sent at all. Very disappointment and rather frustrated. SWstrings has been my go to for referring students for good prices, and speedy and reliable shipping. Bummed that hasn’t been my experience this time round. This COVID junk is throwing life pretty out of wack for everyone, so I understand that life is a little abnormal for everyone, I’ll still refer people to you because this is very unusual in all my years of good experience, just bummed to have a negative experience this awkward time around. It happens.
